I mean, all I can do is put my hair in a pony tail. I don't know how to do anything else!!

what i like to do.. its super easy... i basically dont need to do anything

i wash my hair.. let it dry with "air".. (not blowdry).. it comes out nice and wavy.. and then i just shove a headband on .. and voila :).

the good thing with this is.. even if your hair is really messy... it still looks good

how about half up half down? just clip up half of your hair and leave the rest down
