Um well 2night I'm going to a casual dance but I've been to a semi-formal dance. I have similar hair too. I suggest you should out it up in a ballet bun let loose hairs hang out. Or you could strighten it and keep it down but neat.

You could do many things. You could crimp or crunch it then put a hairband/scarf in it.

wash it, set it with big curlers and comb it out and play with it to make it look simple and sexy. leave a bang out in the very front of ur forhead to give dramatic appeal.

wash it.. get the front wether ou have bangs or not and tie it back then chrunch/curl it with hairspray, gel, moos(sp?), and anything you find that makes your hair shiny and hard.. you should put the stuff in your hair when its wet like right after you wash it

Leave it down and wavy. Don't pull your hair back...the dance is semi-formal, so don't try to go over the top or look too put together. Just try to make your hair look different than it might on another day, make it MORE wavy, curl it more....
